The Episcopal Maroon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Sunday. They breezed by Friends Academy on the road to the tune of 81-50. The win was some much needed relief for Episcopal as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malcolm Stute led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Pelkey, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Episcopal's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Friends Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Episcopal will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Georgetown Day at 11:00 a.m. on January 6, 2024. Friends Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Seaford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
