The Carroll Tigers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over Miller. That's two games straight that Carroll has won by exactly a single point.
Despite the loss, Miller saw an underclassman step up: Hailey Martinez scored 19 points. Martinez scored a full 42.2% of Miller's points, the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Julissa Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Miller, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will take on Victoria East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
