Medina Valley and Southside are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Medina Valley Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southside Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Medina Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Southside likes a good challenge.
Even though Southwest Legacy scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Medina Valley still came out on top. Medina Valley skirted past Southwest Legacy 59-57.
Meanwhile, Southside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight defeat. The match between them and McCollum wasn't particularly close, with Southside falling 64-47. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southside in their matchups with McCollum: they've now lost five in a row.
Medina Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-21. As for Southside, they dropped their record down to 4-22 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Medina Valley took their win against Southside when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 63-41. Does Medina Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
