The Cedarville Indians have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairfield on Saturday. Cedarville lost against Fairfield in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-57 score last time.
Fairfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Larkin Friend led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Miller, who scored 13 points.
Cedarville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Fairfield, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Cedarville will head out on the road to face off against Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield will be home for the holidays to greet Peebles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peebles is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
