After four games on the road, Hilldale is heading back home. They will take on the Miami Wardogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hilldale will be strutting in after a victory while the Wardogs will be coming in after a loss.
After only 25 points in their last game, Hilldale made sure to put some points up on the board against the Indians on Friday. Hilldale blew past the Indians 56-20 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-8.
Meanwhile, Miami's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 42-35 to Vinita. While losing is never fun, Miami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Hornets are ranked 146th).
Hilldale's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Miami, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.
Hilldale beat the Wardogs 55-47 when the teams last played back in February of 2019. Does Hilldale have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wardogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
