The Orange Grove Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Rockport-Fulton Pirates at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Orange Grove and six for Rockport-Fulton.
Last Friday, Orange Grove lost to Sinton on the road by a decisive 54-40 margin.
Rockport-Fulton suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 47-26 walloping at the hands of Ingleside. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rockport-Fulton in their matchups with Ingleside: they've now lost three in a row.
Kaila Flaherty was Rockport-Fulton's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Lilly Tomlinson took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Orange Grove has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Rockport-Fulton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-20.
Orange Grove strolled past Rockport-Fulton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 36-19. Will Orange Grove repeat their success, or does Rockport-Fulton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
