On Friday Heppner will take on Grant Union at 7:00 PM. Both teams have set a high bar for this matchup after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
Heppner might be getting used to good results now that the team has five wins in a row. They took the contest and then some with a 55-8 win over Weston-McEwen last Friday. Heppner found Heppner's leader in underclassman sophomore Jayden Wilson, who rushed for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lehman has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, Grant Union put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Riverside to the tune of 50-0. The rankings were on Grant Union's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Heppner took a serious blow against Grant Union the last time the two teams met, falling 6-44. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
