It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Dr. Krop Lightning can now relate to. They lost to the Eagles on the road by a decisive 51-35 margin on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dr. Krop has scored all season.
Dr. Krop lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emmanuel Ferguson, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Ferguson hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Joseph Washington was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Dr. Krop's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Southwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season.
Dr. Krop does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southwest is on the road again on Saturday and plays Southridge on February 10th. Southridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Southwest likes a good challenge.
