Brawley won the last time they faced Southwest EC, and Sophie Ruiz did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles on Saturday thanks in part to Ruiz, who had 11 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Despite the loss, Southwest EC still got an impressive performance from Alyana Aguirre, who had 11 digs.

Brawley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Southwest EC, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Brawley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Victory Christian Academy on the 23rd. As for Southwest EC, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Palo Verde Valley on the 28th.
