The Lamar Silver Foxes suffered their closest  defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Green Sea Floyds by a score of  49-47. Lamar lost against Green Sea Floyds in their previous head to head  back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the  65-41 score last time.
 Several Silver Foxes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Alvion Ward, who  scored 14 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals. Ward's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was  Xavier "Zoom" Jackson, who  scored 12 points.
 Lamar dropped their record down to 4-13 with that  defeat, which was their 19th straight  on the road. As for Green Sea Floyds,  the  victory  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 12-9.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will  take on Hannah-Pamplico at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Green Sea Floyds, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Hemingway at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hemingway is coming into the  game on a three-game losing streak.
