The Lamar Silver Foxes suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Green Sea Floyds by a score of 49-47. Lamar lost against Green Sea Floyds in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-41 score last time.
Several Silver Foxes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Ward's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Xavier "Zoom" Jackson, who scored 12 points.
Lamar dropped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road. As for Green Sea Floyds, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will take on Hannah-Pamplico at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Green Sea Floyds, they will head out on the road to square off against Hemingway at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hemingway is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
