While it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, the World of Inquiry Griffins were not quite the Rochester Prep Tigers's equal in the second half on Wednesday. World of Inquiry fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 52-49. World of Inquiry's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it four in a row.
Several Griffins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaedon Adams, who scored 13 points. Junayde Richardson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 rebounds.
World of Inquiry has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Rochester Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. World of Inquiry will take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson Magnet has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Rochester Prep, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Greece Olympia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully the Tigers likes a good challenge.
