In what's become a running theme this season, the Pahrump Valley Trojans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 52-19 victory over Sports Leadership & Management at home. Winning may never get old, but Pahrump Valley sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Pahrump Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paris Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Moore, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Sports Leadership & Management still got an impressive performance from Tavara Swonger, who scored eight points along with four blocks and two steals. That's the first time this season that Swonger posted two or more blocks.
Pahrump Valley pushed their record up to 20-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahrump Valley will challenge Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Pahrump Valley is ranked seventh). As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will head out on the road to challenge Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
