The Princeton Tigers and the Montini Catholic Broncos squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Princeton Tigers had to settle for second. Princeton took a hard 27-9 fall against Montini Catholic. Princeton's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
William Lott threw for 72 yards on seven of ten attempts. Noah Laporte was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards. On the ground, Casey Etheridge rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Montini Catholic, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
Princeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montini Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Byron at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Byron knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Montini Catholic likes a good challenge.
