The Mooresville Pioneers will square off against the Indian Creek Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mooresville took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-41 win over Franklin Community. The score was all tied up 23-23 at the break, but the Pioneers were the better team in the second half.

Randee Garringer was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Ava Shafer was another key player, going 6 for 10 on her way to 15 points.
Meanwhile, Indian Creek came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Sparkplugs 51-37. 51 seems to be a good number for the Braves as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Mooresville better keep an eye on Jasmine Day. She was instrumental in Indian Creek's win, going 6 of 9 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. Those 18 points gave Day a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Sichting, who posted five points along with 12 rebounds and five assists.
Indian Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Speedway only racked up ten assists.
Indian Creek pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.1 points. As for Mooresville, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mooresville has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Indian Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Mooresville came up short against Indian Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 55-51. Thankfully for Mooresville, Lauren Foster (who put up 19 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
