West Marion's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Enterprise Yellowjackets, sneaking past  4-2. The  win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.
 Kolby Stringer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  Sam Smith looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  walks (zero).
 Stringer wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Caden Turnage, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI. That's the most  hits  Turnage has posted since back in February.
West Marion picked up their first home  victory, bumping their record up to 2-12. As for Enterprise, they moved to 5-8 with that  defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Marion will face off against Tylertown at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The  match will  give West Marion their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Enterprise, they will take on Sacred Heart at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
