Cathedral Catholic was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Vista Murrieta. The Dons came in at 17 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
St. Augustine fell to Eastlake 23-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joe Joe Hudson threw for 130 yards and ran for 13 yards in the defeat.
St. Augustine's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Tyler Herburger contributed 56 yards. Ryan Harris helped St. Augustine's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 38 yards.
Bradley Hamel was the best wideout in Eastern this week as Richard Sanchez's team lost to the Titans. Hamel tallied 4 receptions for 46 yards. Harris helped St. Augustine's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 38 yards.
St. Augustine's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Saints feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hudson has thrown for 584 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Harris has 16 catches for 239 yards.
Cathedral Catholic made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 95 from 219. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 35-28 victory over the Broncos last week.
