The Beth Haven Bearcats can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Valley 87-59 on the road. Given Beth Haven's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Valley is ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beth Haven got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was DaMontez Malone out in front who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ray Stinnett, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 3 assists.
The victory was the third in a row for Beth Haven, bringing their record for this year to 17-7. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.7 points. As for Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
Beth Haven won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Knox at 4:30 p.m. on February 10th. Fort Knox is coming into the game with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Beth Haven will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Valley, they will face off against Thomas Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Thomas Nelson is coming into the matchup with four straight wins at home, so Valley is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
