Vermilion Valley recap November 5, 2013
Mo Abbed broke off the longest rushing play in Vermilion Valley this week with a 71-yard run against Hall. Abbed ended up with 147 yards rushing as Bismarck-Henning lost to the Red Devils.
The Blue Devils led the league in points allowed with 20.
Bismarck-Henning's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dylan Allen threw for 71 yards and Donnie Powell had 44 yards receiving. On the ground Abbed chipped in 147 yards. Braedon Lappin-Pratt helped Bismarck-Henning's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 29 yards.
Abbed provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Mark Dodd's team lost to Hall. Abbed's key target this week was Powell, who caught 3 passes for 44 yards.
Abbed was the best running back in the league this week. Patrick Ganley also contributed to the rushing game with 75 yards on the ground.
Bismarck-Henning's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Blue Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Allen has thrown for 560 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Lappin-Pratt has 15 catches for 184 yards.
Jamaica/Catlin led Vermilion Valley in scoring this week after putting up 19 points.
