Broughton enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over Leesville Road. That's another feather in the cap for Broughton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Broughton to victory were Harrison Peatross and Jordan Page. Peatross scored 19 points, while Page dropped a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peatross has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chauncey Sumpter, who scored four points along with two steals and two blocks.
Broughton's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Leesville Road, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-8.
Broughton the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Sanderson at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. One thing working in Sanderson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Leesville Road, they will head out on the road to face off against Cardinal Gibbons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Gibbons presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leesville Road in North Carolina (Cardinal Gibbons is ranked 108th, while Leesville Road is ranked 232nd).
