Baseball Recap: Central Hardin Takes a Loss

The Central Hardin Bruins came up short against the Bullitt Central Cougars on Thursday and fell 7-3.

Kellen Brandenburg was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Central Hardin's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Bullitt Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-12.

Central Hardin and Bullitt Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Central Hardin (ranked 92nd) will meet Ballard (ranked first) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bullitt Central will challenge Sayre at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (64 vs. 5).
