The Rogers Mountaineers lost against the Northside Grizzlies back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Rogers took a 70-53 bruising from Northside. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rogers in their matchups with Northside: they've now lost nine in a row.
Erianna Gooden was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and six steals for Northside. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gooden has scored at least a third of Northside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hazley Grotjohn, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Northside, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.
Rogers will look to defend their home court on Friday against Har-Ber at 6:00 p.m. Har-Ber is coming into the contest with five straight losses on the road, meaning Rogers will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Northside, they will face off against Bentonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 552 points over their last nine contests.
