After flying high against the Dooly County Bobcats  on Friday, the Telfair County Trojans came back down to earth. Telfair County suffered a  rough 64-44 loss at the hands of Montgomery County  on Saturday. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Telfair County in their matchups with Montgomery County: they've now lost four in a row.
 Despite the loss, Telfair County still got an impressive performance from   Zah'Mya McDuffie, who  scored 19 points. McDuffie scored a full 43.2% of Telfair County's points, the fourth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jada Batten, who  scored six points along with 12  rebounds.
 Montgomery County had a senior duo take command as  Marley Bell  dropped  a double-double on 30 points and 20  rebounds and  Amire Banks  scored 20 points along with eight  assists and six  steals. The  contest was  Bell's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Erin Adams, who  scored five points along with ten  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Telfair County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Montgomery County, the  win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Telfair County and Jeff Davis will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jeff Davis is coming into the  contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Montgomery County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Portal at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Portal is hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses.
