They skirted past Families of Faith Christian Academy 42-40. Given Lakecrest Baptist's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 75th in Michigan, while Families of Faith Christian Academy is ranked 399th in Illinois), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lakecrest Baptist's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Families of Faith Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Lakecrest Baptist on the road again on Saturday and play against Hammond Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Families of Faith Christian Academy, they will challenge Parkview Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Parkview Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Monday.
