Vance Charter got a massive performance out of Aubrey Puryear, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Puryear a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dakota Dickerson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Vance Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Voyager Academy only posted an OBP of .278.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vance Charter will venture away from home to square off against Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Voyager Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Roxboro Community at 5:00 p.m. on April 11th.
