Sahuarita is 0-1 against Rincon/University since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Sahuarita Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Rincon/University Rangers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Sahuarita and five for Rincon/University.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Sahuarita, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 31-15 loss to Cholla.
The losing side was boosted by Alden Fox, who picked up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown. Fox's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 47-13, which was the final score in Rincon/University's tilt against Amphitheater on Friday. Rincon/University was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Although Rincon/University took the loss, they still got scores from Cody Gonzalez-knott and Aundre King.
The losses dropped Sahuarita to 1-6 and Rincon/University to 2-5.
