The West Feliciana Saints's 32-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were dealt a 59-21 loss at the hands of Albany on Saturday. While losing is never fun, West Feliciana can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Albany is ranked 21st).
West Feliciana's loss came despite strong showings from Nevaeh London and Sanaya Berry. London scored 10 points, while Berry scored 8 points. London scored a full 47.6% of West Feliciana's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
This is the second loss in a row for West Feliciana and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Albany, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Feliciana will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Sumner at 5:00 p.m. on December 5th. Albany will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Glen Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
