 Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Martin County's offense. They fell victim to a  tough 15-0 defeat at the hands of East Carter  on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, Martin County's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Tug Valley's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 4-1. As for Martin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Tug Valley took their  victory against Martin County  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tug Valley since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
