The De La Salle Collegiate Pilots are taking a road trip to square off against the Warren Woods-Tower Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. De La Salle Collegiate's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Warren Woods-Tower's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
De La Salle Collegiate was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Troy on Thursday. The Pilots blew past the Colts 7-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pilots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Zackary Wagner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dane Debbrecht was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Mason Pilarski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Warren Woods-Tower, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Hazel Park by a score of 7-2 on Monday.
Foley Kedzior made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Kedzior was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Warren Woods-Tower's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-2 (and 2-20 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arjay Zimmerman, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
De La Salle Collegiate's record now sits at 22-9. As for Warren Woods-Tower, their record is now 6-22.
De La Salle Collegiate came out on top in a nail-biter against Warren Woods-Tower when the teams last played back in May of 2017, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pilots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
