The Bremen Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Bend Adams. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bremen in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyrus Graverson, who scored 13 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Devine, who scored 15 points.
South Bend Adams' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jarvis Tolbert, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Tolbert hasn't dropped below 18 points for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Amari Wesson, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Bremen has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for South Bend Adams, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bremen will challenge the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mishawaka Marian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. As for South Bend Adams, they will head out on the road to face off against the Jimmies at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jimtown will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
