The Bay Tornadoes's game on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They breezed by Destin at home to the tune of 58-22. That 58-22 margin sets a new team best for Bay this season.
Bay can attribute much of their success to Taylor Carlson, who scored ten points along with three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Williams, who scored nine points.
Bay's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Destin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bay will square off against Choctawhatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Destin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Bayou Christian at 2:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
