The Heartland Huskies were the 52-26 winner over the Riverside Chargers when they last played one another back in January of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Heartland fell to Riverside 45-41.
Heartland's lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isabel Johnson, who scored 9 points. Johnson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jamisen Klein, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds.
Heartland bumped their record down to 2-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heartland will face off against Deshler at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deshler is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Riverside is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Fullerton at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
