Alex Slowey and Tyler Janke provided fans with a highlight when they connected against New Glarus/Monticello. The connection was good for 85 yards, the longest such play in South Central this season.
Wautoma scaled the state rankings by moving to 268 from 344 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Hornets were able to make move up by defeating Lake Mills 26-20.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Westfield Area takes on Wisconsin Dells. The Pioneers are in third place, while the Chiefs are in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Nekoosa takes on Mauston. The Papermakers have allowed 53 points this season, while the Golden Eagles have given up 96.
Wisconsin Dells lost to Lakeside Lutheran 53-2 last week, the largest margin of any game.
