The Edison Vikings will challenge the Stagg Delta Kings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Edison has four straight victories, Stagg has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Edison's win against Franklin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings skirted past the Yellowjackets 5-3.

Alicia Leiva spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Angeleya Miranda, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaiya Wilson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Stagg came up short against Chavez on Tuesday, falling 11-3.
Stagg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliana Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Edison's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Vikings have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Stagg, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Edison continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Edison's way against Stagg in their previous meeting back in March, as Edison made off with a 16-7 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Delta Kings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
