Waterloo got themselves on the board against Western Reserve on Wednesday, but Western Reserve never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 18-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won three matchups by more than 14 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Waterloo's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Western Reserve, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Waterloo will head out on the road to square off against Lake Center Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Reserve, they will face off against Mineral Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
