The Kirbyville Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 71-54 bruising from Diboll. While losing is never fun, Kirbyville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1050th, while Diboll is ranked 324th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Diboll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Wilson, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadarian Kennerew, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Kirbyville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Diboll, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Kirbyville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Veritas Classical Academy at 10:30 a.m. on December 8th. As for Diboll, they will face off against Spurger at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
