The Licking Heights Hornets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 23-6 to Licking Valley. Licking Heights lost against Licking Valley in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 25-20 score last time.
Licking Valley can attribute much of their success to Trenton Markus, who rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown.
Licking Heights' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Licking Valley, their win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-3.
Licking Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Licking Valley will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
