Tipton is a perfect 3-0 against Clinton Prairie since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Gophers at 10:00 a.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Tipton has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Clinton Prairie will arrive with four straight victories.

Tipton lost 15-5 to Lapel on Thursday.

Tipton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Goshern, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI and two doubles.

Meanwhile, while Clinton Prairie put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Taylor. The Gophers put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Gophers, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Alex King was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Price, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Clinton Prairie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only posted an OBP of .158.

Clinton Prairie pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Tipton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Everything went Tipton's way against Clinton Prairie in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Tipton made off with a 13-4 victory. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gophers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
