Baseball Recap: Medfield Sets Scoring Season-High Against Millis

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Medfield). Everything went their way against the Millis Mohawks on Monday as they made off with a 21-8 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Owen Sokolowski was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Nathan Bills was another key player, going 4-for-5 with seven RBI, one run, and one double.

Medfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millis only posted an OBP of .355.

The victory (which was Medfield's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Millis, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
