It's playoff time, and Newfane and Medina/Webber/Barker are set to clash on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Newfane are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Last Saturday, Newfane put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They made easy work of Iroquois and carried off a 54-22 victory. Junior Jaden Heers, who rushed for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Newfane's success. This marked the 4th contest in which Heers has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Medina/Webber/Barker have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They got past Burgard with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 28-22. The success represented a nice turnaround for Medina/Webber/Barker, who in their last game suffered a tough 12-34 loss.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 4-4. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Newfane and Medina/Webber/Barker clash.
