Westminster Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Elisha Daniels threw for 58 and 1 touchdown and James had 101 yards receiving. On the ground Jerome Grey contributed 83 yards. Ryan Moore helped Westminster Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 30 yards.
Joe Vairo provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Jake Sorg's team lost to the Eagles. He completed 6 passes for 89 yards and also ran for 7 yards.
Grey was the best running back in Southeastern - South this week. He ran for 83 yards on 7 carries as the Lions lost to Pope John Paul II. Teammate Spencer Saliba added to the ground attack by rushing for 64 yards.
Westminster Academy's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Vairo has thrown for 1,303 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while James has 28 catches for 658 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Westminster Academy takes on second place LaSalle. Westminster Academy lost to Matt Dillon's team last week, while LaSalle fell to Calvary Christian Academy.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Lions and the Royal Lions face off next week.
There should be lots of points scored when Westminster Academy and LaSalle face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Lions comes in having scored 307 this season, while Willie Trimmer's team has scored 256. Westminster Academy scored 24 points last week as it lost to the Eagles.
