New Holstein put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put a hurting on Roncalli to the tune of 49-6. That result was just more of the same for New Holstein, who also won the last time these teams played.
New Holstein got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Roncalli and cruised to a 22-point first half. Roncalli came up with 6 to make it 22-6 heading into the break. The New Holstein defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match. The win bumped New Holstein's record up to 5-1. The loss dropped Roncalli's record to 2-4.
Next week New Holstein take on Valders at 7:00 PM. Valders took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse New Holstein's good fortune. As for Roncalli, they will face off against Sheboygan Falls. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
