Locust Grove put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They steamrollered Sequoyah 42-7. Sequoyah can consider this payback for the 14-45 loss they dealt Locust Grove the last time the teams encountered one another.
Locust Grove's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Sequoyah couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28-0 heading into the break. The Locust Grove defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win bumped their record up to 3-0. The defeat dropped Sequoyah's record to 1-2.
Next week Locust Grove take on Sequoyah at 7:00 PM. Locust Grove have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Sequoyah might have their hands full. As for Sequoyah, they will face off against Keys.
