The Putnam Clippers will head out on the road to take on the Harvard Ellis Tech Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Putnam has struggled recently with 13 losses in a row, while Harvard Ellis Tech will arrive with four straight wins.
On Friday, Putnam suffered a rough 56-32 defeat at the hands of Lyman Memorial. Putnam has not had much luck with Lyman Memorial recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Harvard Ellis Tech didn't have too much trouble with Goodwin Tech on the road on Friday as they won 40-24. 40 seems to be a good number for Harvard Ellis Tech as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Putnam's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Putnam came up short against Harvard Ellis Tech in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 29-24. Can Putnam avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
