Make it six blowout wins for the Denmark-Olar Vikings this season. They breezed by Blackville-Hilda at home to the tune of 73-44. The win was familiar territory for Denmark-Olar who now have three in a row.
Leading Denmark-Olar to victory were Tykeen Ross and Terrance Hinton. Ross dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Hinton scored 22 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Ross is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Robert Bovain was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Several Fighting Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaquel Holman, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarien Priester, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Denmark-Olar's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Blackville-Hilda, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Denmark-Olar will head out on the road to challenge Hunter-Kinard-Tyler at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Blackville-Hilda, they will be playing at home against Ridge Spring-Monetta at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridge Spring-Monetta is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
