The Ore City Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Frankston Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After a string of three wins, Ore City's good fortune finally ran out on October 12th. They had to suffer through a rough 75-13 loss at the hands of Beckville. Ore City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 69-6.
Although Ore City took the loss, they still got scores from Donald Veasley and Kyler Rowe.
Meanwhile, Frankston unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against Beckville, falling 68-28. While losing is never fun, Frankston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 759th, while Beckville is ranked 336th).
The losses dropped Ore City to 4-3 and Frankston to 6-3.
Ore City was dealt a bruising 43-14 loss at the hands of Frankston in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Can Ore City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
