The Easley Green Wave's's five-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Seneca 49-12 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Easley has managed all season.
Easley can attribute much of their success to Olivia Gramblin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Gramblin also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Abbi Vite was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 14 rebounds and four steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Seneca struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Easley's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Seneca, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Easley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Walhalla at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. Walhalla is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Seneca, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Belton-Honea Path at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Belton-Honea Path is ranked 177th, while Seneca is ranked 180th).
