For Laurens Central, this counts as revenge for the 43-29 defeat the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2020.
Despite the loss, Sharon Springs Central had strong showings from Zarie Fassett, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds, and Lilly Tessier, who scored 18 points. That was a full 34% of Sharon Springs Central's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jayna MANKO, who scored five points along with 15 rebounds.
Laurens Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Sharon Springs Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
