The Garden Plain Owls have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took down Kingman 44-27 on Friday. This was payback for Garden Plain, who suffered a 59-53 loss the last time these two teams met.
Loss or not, Kingman got some senior leadership from Chase Webster and Zayden Volden. Webster scored 12 points along with three steals and three blocks, while Volden. scored five points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Garden Plain's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Kingman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garden Plain will take on Douglass at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingman, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chaparral at 7:30 p.m. Chaparral is coming into the contest with eight straight defeats on the road, meaning Kingman will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
