Cornwall Central (New Windsor, N.Y.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Mike White threw a touchdown to
Chris Bauer with 6:00 to go, bringing the team to victory over
Wallkill (N.Y.) 42-35.
The Dragons led 21-14 at halftime, but the Panthers recaptured the lead on a touchdown with 6:00 remaining in the third.
Cornwall Central expanded its lead to 13 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored two times in the third, including once on a White touchdown pass to
Kobe Thomas.
Cornwall Central's most effective player was White. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
The loss comes after Wallkill defeated Monticello 35-24 last week.
