Softball Recap: Skyview Has No Trouble Against Camas

Skyview won the last time they faced Camas and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Storm were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Papermakers. The result was nothing new for the Storm, who have now won six games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Madison Paik tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Audrey Jackson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Figueroa, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Skyview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in eight consecutive matchups.

Skyview's record is now 10-1. As for Camas, they moved to 11-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Skyview will take on Battle Ground at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Camas, they will square off against Union at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something the Papermakers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
